L•O•V•E You More Card

I know it isn't valentines day yet, but I made this super cute card for a project at work and I was so beaming with pride in myself that I just had to share it!

Don't you just...LOVE it? ;)

Here's a little bit of closeup action for ya.

A little bit of info for those of you who love it as much as I do:

The papers I used come from the Imaginisce scrapbooking line "Love you more" that you can find at your local scrapbook store, or scrapbook.com.  Sorry for the overuse of the word, but I seriously LOVE the patterns on these papers!  The designer did a really fantastic job, it's been one of my favorite lines that we've put out so far.

I used the imaginisce d•stress tool with a little bit of maroon on the edges.  If you like to antique your projects, you need this tool (I think you can get it at Michaels? Don't take my word on it though).  I know this sounds like an ad, but I swear it isn't! I just love everything that we put out, I can't help it.

Until next time...Love you lots!

Nautical baby shower!

Last Saturday I had the priviledge of throwing a baby shower for my beautiful pregnant sister Kristen and her future baby boy William at my home in Utah. Kristen is going to do a nautical/Peter Pan theme for her baby room, so I decided to do a nautical party theme for her shower. I have fun getting carried away with fun little parties like this and one was no exception! I'm sad I didn't actually take any pictures during the shower for you to see Kristen's baby bump, but here are the decorations for your enjoyment!

I carried on the theme of the shower invitations with the little anchor by blowing this one up and putting it on the front door for party guests to find the party easily.

My friend Karlee was sweet enough to let me borrow some of her decorations from a previous nautical shower that she did, including this net and bottle. The starfish plate I purchased at T.J. Maxx in a set of 4 for only $8!

Of course people don't want to eat cake in the morning, but what's a baby shower without cake? :) I just threw this one together using my favorite cake mix - the pink lemonade flavor, and to keep things healthy I substituted vegetable oil with apple sauce.  These cute little boats I found on Pinterest, they're just blue jello with mandarin oranges for boats! I made the little sails myself.

Again, keeping with the anchor theme, I printed out these little stickers to make silverware sets.

I love love love these adorable paper striped straws! I found a fantastic deal for them too, only $8 for a pack on 100 on Ebay. I also thought the baby goldfish were too cute to pass up.

My personal favorite food of the day? Blueberry muffins! Again, with applesauce substituted for the oil. I also made the cute little flags to go in them. The little striped baking cups I found at T.J. Maxx.
