Krissa + Chris Correa Wedding - Sacramento, California

Nothing makes me happier than finding out that a friend is getting married.  And when it is one of my best friends who asks me to take their wedding pictures in a different state it makes me practically giddy!

I couldn't believe how perfect the weather was for this Oakland, California temple wedding last February.  I also couldn't believe how perfect everything else was. With her Victoria Beckham inspired custom wedding dress, and his Air Force uniform, this couple just made me swoon with the joy a photographer feels when they know this is going to be one of their best photo shoots ever.

I loved that Krissa & Chris were able to goof off and just have fun on their wedding day. Everything about the wedding was just casual, simple and comfortable. It's the way every wedding should be done!

Chris and Krissa Sneaky Peeky

It may take a while to get all the wedding pictures edited but I just wanted to give you all a quick sneaky peak (unedited - don't worry, i'll take care of it all later!) of the wedding I did in Oakland this last weekend for one of my bestest friends Krissa Jo and her adorable new husband Christopher. Enjoy!

Little William

Dear world,

I would like to introduce you to one of your newest members - baby William. The sweetest little boy in the entire world and also (lucky for me!) my nephew.  There's really nothing as precious as a newborn baby and I felt so blessed that I got to be the lucky one to take his newborn pictures. Enjoy!

DIY Imaginisce brad punch hanging flower topiary

I know you're just dying right now to know how to make this vintage hanging flower topiary! Good thing I'm here to give you the quick how-to.

Just a quick background of this project - At Imaginisce, we've discovered that there are so many more uses to our tools than people have thought of, so i've taken it upon myself to figure out new and fun ways to "repurpose" your Imaginisce tools.

Supplies for this project include:

1. Two coordinating colors of cardstock. (I used about 5 sheets of 12x12 for the large punch, and 3-4 for the smaller one)
2. A 6 inch styrofoam sphere.
3. 150 pearl-top pins.
4. A 28mm and 16mm Imaginisce brad punch.
5. Vintage distress stamp pad and (optional) an imaginisce d-stress tool.
6. Tape
7. Ribbon

First, use your brad punches to cut out both of your flower sizes.

Then using your stamp pad and/or d-stress tool, antique the edges of the cut out pieces.

Cut a slit to the middle of each cut out, and fold them front to back accordion style.

Tape the edges together on the back, and layer your flowers together.
Pin your flowers all around the ball using the pearl pins, add a ribbon, and hang in your favorite spot!

Feel free to comment with any questions! More DIY brad punch projects coming soon.

DIY i•top button bracelet

Work has been keeping me busy but i've still managed to throw in a new project!  This one is made with the Imaginisce i-top button making tool (...which by the way is super easy to use by the way!  Here's a video on how to use it: http://youtu.be/t-uHdZoeA9I)

I'm not one for detailed how-to's, but here's a quick explanation of how I made it:

1. I took a blank magnitop bracelet chain, and added on the two extra silver chains to fit my wrist. (You can get these from pretty much any craft store, I just stole mine from an old bracelet to save time and money.)

2. Then I took some beautiful knitted cotton ribbon from May Arts and wove it through the chain.

3. Using needle nose pliers, I took the dangles from a necklace and added them onto the hanging loops.

4. Last but not least, I created my beautiful itop buttons using the 2 small and 1 medium button daddies. I layered a sheer pink cloth (and this is a guess - the material was organza?) with some more knitted May Arts ribbon. Then I used some beading wire to tie the buttons onto the bracelet.

So there it is! Super easy and super cute.  Change up the colors to anything you want and make it yours!
